Location: Pilning, South Gloucestershire
Actual Salary: £33,952.77 – £39,366.78
Hours: 24 hours per week (3 days – to be agreed at interview)
Contract: Permanent, term-time only (44.67 paid weeks per year)
About the School:
We’re proud to be working with a forward-thinking and inspiring specialist school supporting children and young people aged 7–19 with a primary or secondary diagnosis of Autism and associated social communication needs.
With provision from Key Stage 2 through to post-16, the school is dedicated to helping every student discover their strengths, build independence, and achieve success academically, emotionally, and socially.
The Role:
As a Clinical Psychologist, you’ll be a key figure in supporting the emotional wellbeing and behavioural development of students across the school.
You will:
Carry out psychological assessments and deliver bespoke interventions
Work directly with young people on a 1:1 and group basis
Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to embed Positive Behaviour Support strategies throughout the school
Provide guidance, and training to staff and families, promoting consistency and understanding
Your work will have a lasting impact, helping young people develop the skills and confidence they need to thrive both in education and beyond!
What We’re Looking For:
✔ HCPC-registered Practitioner Psychologist with a postgraduate qualification in Psychology
✔ Experience supporting children or young people with Autism and complex needs
✔ Background in educational, clinical, or care settings
✔ Confidence working within multi-disciplinary teams
✔ Experience supervising Assistant Psychologists
✔ A genuine passion for evidence-based practice and continuous learning
