Job Description
Are you a CNC Setter/Operator or Programmer/Operator seeking a new company where you'll with a friendly, motivated team? A company who will develop your skills, and provide interesting projects to work on?

Part of a small successful engineering group, a leading subcontract manufacturer is seeking an experienced CNC Operator/Programmer to join their close knit team based near Stockport. Specialising in the production of high precision CNC turned parts for a variety of industries, they use a variety of sliding-head and lathe machines to produce components to high tolerances.
They are now seeking a skilled CNC specialist to join their team. This role can either be a Programmer/Operator role, or purely an Operator/Setter role depending on experience.
Key responsibilities include:
* Setting and operating a range of CNC sliding head and lathe machines
* Producing components in stainless steel and other metals to required tolerances and quality standards
* Finishing components to the highest quality standards
* Identifying and recommending programme amendments to improve efficiency and/or quality
* Carrying out quality checks to ensure components meet the required quality standards

They are looking for engineers who can provide solutions to any situations that may arise in their work, and who bring a positive mental attitude. The successful applicant must be a team player who can equally work on their own initiative, and meet the following criteria:
* Minimum 2 years Turning experience
* CNC Programmer OR Setter/Operator background considered
* Experience of sliding head machines would be beneficial, although training will happily be provided
* Qualified through apprenticeship or time served.
* Able to manufacture precision components from fully understanding engineering drawings in terms of tolerances, surface finish etc.
* Focused on quality with high level of attention to detail
* Good team player
