CNC Miller & Programmer 

 Location  : Nottingham

Job type: Permanent

Hours: 39 hours per week, rotating morning & afternoon shifts

Pay: £38,532 per annum / £19 per hour

Are you an experie3nced Miller with programming skills looking for your next opportunity? We are recruiting on behalf of a well established precision engineering manufacturer that continues to invest in its people, machinery and capabilities.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy, quality driven environment where you will be involved in producing high precision components for a variety of industries.

 Key responsibilities: 

Program, set and operate CNC milling machines
Create, edit and optimize CNC programmes to improve machining efficiency
Manufacture one off and batch components from engineering drawings
Select the correct tooling, fixtures and workholding for each job
Carry out tool changes and make machine offsets where required
Inspect finished components ysing a range of measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers, bore gauges and height gauges
Complete first off inspections and ensure components meet quality standards
Identify process improvements to reduce cycle times and increase productivity
Maintain a safe, clean and organized working environment
 About you: 

Previous experience programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines
The ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings
Excellent attention to detail and a quality-focus approach
Strong problem solving skills and ability to work independently
Experience with CAD/CAM software and machine controls such as Haas, Hurco, Mazak, Fanuc or Matsuura would be highly advantegous, as would an engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
