Commercial Manager | Berkshire | £100,000 | Tier 2 Main Contractor

We’re working with a growing Tier 2 contractor who are about to deliver a key scheme in Berkshire, secured through a long-standing client relationship.

This isn’t just another project. It’s a flagship scheme for the business and a clear reflection of the trust they’ve built with their client base. As a result, they’re looking to appoint a Commercial Manager who can take full ownership of the commercial function on site.

The Opportunity:

This role will suit someone who wants more than just managing numbers. You’ll be a key voice on the project, working closely with the Project Manager and Directors to drive performance, manage risk and influence decision-making from early stages through to final account.

Key Responsibilities:

  * Lead all commercial activities across the project lifecycle

  * Take ownership of cost planning, forecasting and financial reporting

  * Manage subcontract procurement, packages and contractual risk

  * Work closely with operational teams to ensure commercial alignment

  * Challenge and improve processes where needed to maximise margin

  * Act as a key point of contact for the client on all commercial matters

What We’re Looking For:

  * Established Commercial Manager or a strong Senior QS ready to step up

  * Experience delivering projects £10m+ within a main contractor environment

  * Background in refurbishment, cut & carve or major fit-out schemes would stand out

  * Office to residential conversion experience is a bonus, not essential

  * Strong new build experience also considered

  * Confident communicator who can operate with autonomy and influence
