Commercial Manager Location: Northamptonshire (Head Office) with UK-wide project travel as required

Salary: £100,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus + Excellent Benefits (DOE)

 A highly successful and rapidly growing design & build main contractor is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join its senior leadership team. With an outstanding reputation for delivering high-quality construction and fit-out projects across the UK, this business operates across multiple sectors including commercial, retail, healthcare, education, leisure and public sector projects.

 The Role

 Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will be responsible for leading the commercial function across a portfolio of projects, ensuring commercial success from pre-construction through to final account.
 Key responsibilities include:
  
Leading and managing a team of Quantity Surveyors and commercial staff. 
Overseeing the commercial delivery of multiple construction and fit-out projects. 
Managing contract negotiations, valuations, variations, cost reporting and final accounts. 
Monitoring project profitability and identifying commercial risks and opportunities. 
Providing accurate forecasting, budgeting and financial reporting. 
Managing subcontractor procurement and commercial performance. 
Working closely with Operations, Estimating and Pre-Construction teams to ensure successful project delivery. 
Supporting business growth through commercial strategy and continuous improvement. 
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners.  About You The successful candidate will have:
  
Proven experience in a Commercial Manager or Senior Commercial role within a main contractor. 
Strong background delivering construction, refurbishment or fit-out projects. 
Excellent knowledge of JCT contracts and commercial management processes. 
Experience leading commercial teams and mentoring Quantity Surveyors. 
Strong financial, contractual and negotiation skills. 
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
Commercial awareness with a proactive and solutions-focused approach. 
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (preferred). 
Full UK driving licence.  What's on Offer
