Commercial Manager 
Cheltenham | Full-time | Permanent 
Salary Compeditive, depending on experience

We are recruiting a Commercial Manager to join a successful and growing specialist business based in Cheltenham.

This is a key position within the business, taking responsibility for the end-to-end commercial process and working closely with clients, operational teams and senior management to ensure projects are commercially and financially well managed.

The company works with an impressive portfolio of major UK and international customers and continues to secure new projects and develop existing relationships.

The Role

As Commercial Manager, you will play a central role in the commercial operation of the business.

Responsibilities will include:

Managing the end-to-end commercial process
Managing customer orders from initial instruction through to completion
Financial tracking across customer accounts and projects
Managing and monitoring invoicing
Ensuring financial and commercial information is accurate and up to date
Preparing and supporting monthly forecast reporting
Reviewing costs, pricing and margins
Managing and developing key client relationships
Liaising with customers throughout project delivery
Preparing quotations and commercial documentation
Working closely with operational teams to support successful project delivery
Identifying commercial risks and opportunities
Maintaining accurate commercial records and reporting
Supporting senior management with commercial decision-making
About You
We are looking for someone who is:

Commercially minded with strong financial literacy
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
Confident managing financial information, costs and invoicing
An effective and professional communicator
Comfortable building relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
Able to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
Analytical and confident working with commercial data
Proactive, reliable and comfortable taking ownership
Previous experience within a commercial, contracts, account management or similar position is required. Experience within manufacturing, engineering, construction, logistics or a project-led environment would be advantageous.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate proven reliability, strong references and a collaborative, team-focused approach.
