About GetFix
GetFix Ltd is a fast‑growing building services contractor working across commercial gas, controls/BMS, social housing, and compliance projects throughout the UK. We’re known for delivering high‑quality work while maintaining strong relationships with clients, residents, and our workforce.
We’re now looking for a Community & People Engagement Officer to play a key role in recruitment support, resident liaison, social value delivery, and brand engagement.
This is a varied, people‑focused role that sits at the heart of the business—linking our directors, site teams, residents, and the wider community.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for supporting recruitment activity, acting as a key resident liaison point on live contracts, delivering social value commitments, and managing GetFix’s external communications and social media presence.
This role suits someone highly organised, confident dealing with people, and comfortable balancing office‑based work with site visits.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & HR Support
* Support end‑to‑end recruitment: adverts, CV screening, interviews, onboarding
* Liaise with managers to identify workforce needs
* Organise inductions and ensure compliance checks are completed (RTW, access cards, etc.)
* Maintain staff trackers, contacts, HR records, and training matrix
* Help organise internal events and staff engagement activities
Resident Liaison
* Act as the main point of contact for residents on live works
* Issue appointment letters and coordinate access arrangement, Handle queries, concerns, and complaints professionally
* Carry out post‑completion satisfaction calls and feedback follow‑ups
* Work closely with engineers and contract teams to ensure a positive resident experience
Social Value & Community Engagement
* Plan and deliver social value initiatives (apprenticeships, school engagement, community days, charity work)
* Work with clients to meet contractual social value commitments and KPIs
* Build relationships with schools, charities, and community partners
* Track and report social value outcomes for tenders and client updates
Social Media & Communications
* Manage LinkedIn and Instagram content for GetFix
* Create posts showcasing projects, people, and community activity
* Gather site photos, before/after images, and testimonials
* Support internal communications, newsletters, and branded templates
What We’re Looking For
* Experience in recruitment, resident liaison, community engagement, or a similar people‑facing role
* Strong communication skills—confident, approachable, and professional
* Well organised with good attention to detail
* Comfortable using Microsoft Office and basic design/content tools (e.g. Canva)
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites
Desirable (but not essential):
* Experience in construction or social housing environments
* Knowledge of social value frameworks (e.g. TOMs, Social Value Portal)
* Experience managing business social media accounts
