Job Description

We’re working with a leading building services contractor delivering complex, high-value projects across the UK. Due to continued growth, they’re looking to appoint an experienced Construction Manager to lead site-based delivery teams.

This role would also suit a Mechanical Site Engineer or Site Manager looking to step up into a Construction Manager position.

The RoleAs Construction Manager, you’ll take full responsibility for site delivery, leading installation teams and subcontractors across all construction phases.

You will:

Lead and manage site-based construction and installation activities
Oversee projects from design, engineering and procurement through to completion
Ensure all works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with specifications
Drive programme performance, ensuring key milestones are achieved
Manage subcontractors, labour and site resources effectively
Monitor quality, productivity and site standards
Support commercial teams with variations, progress reporting and cost control
Lead site meetings with clients and internal stakeholders
Ensure full compliance with HSE regulations and company procedures
Oversee commissioning, snagging and project handoverYou will have:
Proven experience in a Construction Manager, Site Manager or Senior Site Engineer role within MEP / Building Services
Strong mechanical bias 
Experience delivering projects from installation through to commissioning and handover
Background managing subcontractors and site teams on live projects
Solid understanding of programme delivery, site logistics and project coordinationTechnical Knowledge

Strong understanding of building services systems and MEP installations
Experience with method statements, risk assessments and safe systems of work
Knowledge of commissioning processes and procedures
Understanding of construction contracts and commercial awareness
Familiarity with BIM processes and project coordination toolsQualifications 

NVQ Level 3 in Construction Site Supervision or similar
HNC/HND or equivalent in Building Services / Engineering
CSCS (Black Card / ECS / JIB)
Relevant Health & Safety qualification
SMSTS or equivalent
