About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Construction Manager to oversee a portfolio of small works and commercial refurbishment projects across Cardiff, Newport, and the surrounding South Wales Valleys.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing contractor delivering high-quality projects across commercial, retail, education, and public sector environments. You will typically manage 3–4 live schemes at any one time, ensuring delivery on programme, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  * Oversee multiple small works and commercial refurbishment projects simultaneously (3–4 at a time)

  * Lead site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery

  * Manage programmes, budgets, procurement, and resource allocation

  * Ensure compliance with H&S regulations and company procedures

  * Maintain strong client relationships and attend regular progress meetings

  * Identify and mitigate project risks

  * Report directly to the Contracts Director on performance and progress

Requirements

  * Proven experience as a Construction Manager, Senior Site Manager, or similar role

  * Strong background in small works and commercial refurbishments

  * Experience managing multiple projects concurrently

  * Excellent organisational and communication skills

  * SMSTS, CSCS (Black/White), and First Aid qualifications

  * Full UK driving licence
