Construction Manager / Site Manager 

Location: Leeds

Rate: £280 per day

Start Date: 7th September

Duration: 2-3 months (until November 2026)

Sector: Office & Industrial Fit-Out

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Construction Manager / Site Manager (No.1) to oversee the delivery of a high-profile office and industrial fit-out project in Leeds.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on manager with a proven background in fit-out and refurbishment, capable of taking full responsibility for site operations and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

Take full responsibility as the No.1 Site Manager for the successful delivery of the project.
Plan, programme and coordinate all site activities.
Manage project schedules, resources and subcontractors.
Monitor budgets, costs and project progress.
Ensure works are completed in line with programme and quality expectations.
Lead site teams and maintain effective communication with clients, contractors and stakeholders.
Manage procurement and coordinate the supply chain.
Identify and resolve site issues, minimising delays and maintaining productivity.
Produce site reports and maintain accurate project documentation.

Health & Safety

Ensure full compliance with CDM Regulations and HSE legislation.
Carry out and review Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
Promote and maintain a positive health and safety culture.
Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions where required.
We're looking for someone with proven experience delivering office and industrial fit-out projects who can confidently manage all aspects of site operations.

You will have:

Strong project planning and programme management skills.
Experience managing multiple subcontractors and coordinating resources.
Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management abilities.
A sound understanding of construction methods, sequencing, drawings, building regulations and procurement.
Commercial awareness and experience working with supply chains.
Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
The ability to work under pressure, solve problems quickly and maintain project momentum.
