Job Description

CNX Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a leading fit out and refurbishment contractor, who operate UK wide, to recruit an experienced Site Manager for a major project based in Northampton, starting in May 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Site Manager to join a respected contractor delivering work within secure, highly regulated environments. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  * Oversee daily site activities and manage site teams and subcontractors

  * Ensure works are delivered in line with programme schedules and project specifications

  * Enforce health, safety, and quality standards on site at all times

  * Coordinate with project managers, clients, and key stakeholders

  * Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and progress meetings

  * Identify and resolve on-site issues promptly and effectively

Essential Requirements

  * Proven experience as a Site Manager on construction projects

  * Experience working within Ministry of Justice (MoJ) frameworks is highly desirable and will be prioritised

  * Strong understanding of site operations, health & safety regulations, and compliance standards

  * Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

  * Ability to operate effectively within secure and controlled environments

  * Willing to travel due to future framework requirements

Compliance Requirements

  * Enhanced DBS clearance is essential (must be current or obtained prior to commencement)

  * Familiarity with security procedures and compliance requirements associated with MoJ projects
