Job Description

CNX Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a leading fit out and refurbishment contractor, who operate UK wide, to recruit an experienced Construction Project Manager for a major project based in Northampton, commencing in May 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established contractor delivering high-profile work within secure environments. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing project delivery from inception through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
  * Lead and manage all phases of the construction project lifecycle
  * Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders
  * Ensure strict adherence to programme timelines and budgets
  * Maintain high standards of health, safety, and quality compliance
  * Provide regular progress reports to senior management and clients
  * Manage risk, resolve issues proactively, and ensure smooth project delivery
Essential Requirements
  * Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager on large-scale projects
  * Demonstrable experience working within Ministry of Justice (MoJ) frameworks (highly desirable and will be prioritised)
  * Strong knowledge of construction processes, contracts, and project delivery methods
  * Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  * Ability to work effectively in high-security, regulated environments
  * Willing to travel due to future framework requirements
Compliance Requirements
  * Enhanced DBS clearance is essential (must be current or willing to obtain prior to start)
  * Understanding of security protocols and compliance standards associated with MoJ projects
