Job Description

A Construction Studies Tutor is required for a good Alternative school in Newcastle area. You will deliver Construction Studies to Post 16 pupils of ages; 16 to 19 year and who have SEMH needs. This is a full time role to start asap. The school is mixed sex and has supportive and friendly staff and managers. The successful candidate will:

  * Has some tutoring experience (up to Level 2)

  * Has worked within the construction sector

  * Preferably some experience in plastering, bricklaying, DT & painting

  * Have good classroom management skills

  * Have a passion for teaching Construction studies

  * Have excellent subject knowledge

  * Be able to organise themselves

  * Be able to plan effective, engaging Construction Studies lessons.

We are keen to hear from both experienced teachers or ECTs.

To apply for a Construction Studies teaching position with Premier Teachers you must hold QTS or QTLS.

In addition, you must:

• Provide two referees we can contact

• Have a DBS form or be prepared to obtain one

Pay is dependent on experience and qualifications.
