Contracts Manager – Industrial Roofing & Cladding
Sector: Industrial Roofing & Cladding
Job Type: Permanent
An established and highly regarded industrial roofing and cladding contractor is currently seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join their senior management team. This is a key appointment due to continued growth and a strong secured order book.
The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the delivery and commercial performance of multiple projects, reporting directly to the Managing Director.
The Role
As Contracts Manager, you will oversee the successful planning, coordination and execution of several projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
  * 
    Overall management and delivery of multiple roofing and cladding projects
  * 
    Building and maintaining strong working relationships with clients, contractors and key supply chain partners
  * 
    Managing the design process, including:
      * 
        Overseeing the drawing office
      * 
        Attending design meetings
      * 
        Reviewing drawings for buildability, accuracy and value engineering opportunities
      * 
        Managing the submittal and approval process
  * 
    Producing information-required schedules aligned to construction programmes
  * 
    Procuring labour, materials and specialist subcontractors
  * 
    Resource planning and allocation across live projects
  * 
    Attending pre-start meetings to discuss logistics, programme, health & safety and site requirements
  * 
    Coordinating all health & safety matters, including preparation of RAMS and carrying out regular site inspections
  * 
    Ensuring full compliance with health, safety and environmental legislation
  * 
    Managing all commercial aspects of projects, including cost control, variations and valuations
  * 
    Monitoring progress against programme and implementing corrective actions where required
  * 
    Identifying and reporting delays or disruptions and proposing mitigation strategies
  * 
    Line management of Site Managers and Contracts Supervisors
  * 
    Providing technical, planning and commercial input into tender submissions
Candidate Requirements
  * 
    Minimum 10 years’ experience in a Contracts Manager role
  * 
    Minimum 10 years’ experience within industrial roofing and cladding
  * 
    Strong technical, commercial and operational understanding
  * 
    Proven experience managing multiple projects concurrently
  * 
    SMSTS, CSCS and all relevant industry qualifications
Desirable Experience:
  * 
    Flat roofing systems
  * 
    Rainscreen cladding
