CONTRACTS MANAGER

Contracts Manager 

Are you an experienced Contracts Manager with a strong background in civil engineering, water or utilities?

We are recruiting for a Contracts Manager to join an established contractor delivering a growing portfolio of water, wastewater and civil engineering projects throughout Scotland.

This is a senior position offering the opportunity to oversee multiple projects, lead delivery teams and have significant influence over the operational and commercial performance of the business.

The Role

As Contracts Manager, you will oversee the successful delivery of multiple civils and water projects, working closely with Project Managers, commercial teams, clients and the supply chain.

Your responsibilities will include:

Overseeing multiple water and civil engineering projects
	
Managing projects from mobilisation through to completion
	
Providing leadership to Project Managers and delivery teams
	
Managing programmes, budgets and resources
	
Monitoring commercial performance across projects
	
Managing contractual requirements, variations and change
	
Managing client relationships and stakeholder expectations
	
Overseeing subcontractors and supply-chain partners
	
Identifying and managing commercial and operational risks
	
Ensuring projects are delivered safely and to programme
	
Reviewing project performance and implementing improvements
	
Leading client and progress meetings
	
Supporting tendering and pre-construction activities where required
	
Producing reports for senior management
	
Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality requirements
	
Supporting the continued growth and development of the civils and water division

About You

The successful Contracts Manager will have:

Significant experience within civil engineering
	
Strong background in water, wastewater or utilities
	
Previous experience managing multiple projects
	
Proven leadership experience at Contracts Manager / Senior Project Manager level
	
Strong commercial and contractual understanding
	
Experience working with subcontractors and supply chains
	
Excellent client-management skills
	
Strong understanding of project programmes and financial controls
	
Excellent knowledge of health & safety and CDM
	
Relevant civil engineering or construction qualifications

Experience delivering projects for Scottish Water or similar major water/utilities clients would be highly advantageous.
