Job Description

Axon Moore is delighted to be recruiting for a Part-Time Credit Controller position within a growing business based in Rochdale. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of the credit control function within a supportive team environment. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys a hands-on position, building relationships, and staying on top of a busy ledger.

 Location: Rochdale
 Salary: £30,000 PRO RATA
 Hours: Part-time 25 hours, ideally spread over 5 days

Main duties:
• Manage and reduce aged debt in line with company procedures
 • Maintain and update the sales ledger
 • Process credit notes accurately and efficiently
 • Monitor customer credit exposure to minimise risk
 • Open new customer accounts and carry out credit checks
 • Handle cash posting and perform bank reconciliations
 • Chase outstanding payments via telephone and email
 • Manage customer queries, disputes, and invoice-related issues
 • Take payments over the phone
 • Release customer orders in line with payment status
 • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders
 • Deliver a high level of customer service at all times

Person specification:
• Proven experience in Credit Control
 • Confident communicator, comfortable chasing debt via phone and email
 • Strong customer service skills and ability to build relationships
 • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
 • Able to manage workload independently in a busy environment
 • A team player, happy to support others when needed
 • Willing to learn and provide cover across the wider finance function
