An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Criminal Paralegal / Accredited Police Station Representative to join a highly regarded criminal law team in the heart of Liverpool. The firm is family-friendly, flexible, and supportive, encouraging all staff to reach their full potential.
This role is ideal for candidates with proven criminal law experience and full Police Station Accreditation, offering exposure to a diverse caseload across summary offences and serious Crown Court matters. There is also scope to progress towards a training contract and solicitor qualification.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a full caseload from instruction to conclusion, covering criminal, regulatory, and POCA matters.
Work closely with senior solicitors on both privately and publicly funded cases.
Handle cases ranging from summary offences to serious Crown Court matters.
Maintain accurate, compliant file management, including monthly reviews.
Draft client letters, statements, and briefs for counsel.
Liaise with clients via in-person meetings, telephone, and video conferencing.
Instruct and liaise with experts as required.
Support the out-of-hours on-call rota, including evenings and weekends.
The Ideal Candidate:
Experienced paralegal or law graduate with criminal law experience.
Full Police Station Accreditation (essential).
Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex matters clearly.
Highly organised, proactive, and able to work under pressure.
Personable, client-focused, and professional.
Comfortable working digitally and in-office.
Full clean driving licence and access to a car is preferable.
