Customer Service Advisor

Kirkby in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire
£27,500 – £28,500 per annum
Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm
Full-time, office-based

We are currently recruiting for a Customer Service Advisor to join a busy and customer-focused team based in Kirkby-in-Ashfield. This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys building relationships, providing excellent customer service and working closely with different departments to ensure customer needs are met.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

  * Acting as the main internal point of contact for assigned customer accounts

  * Building and maintaining strong, long-term customer relationships

  * Handling customer enquiries, issues and escalations professionally and promptly

  * Resolving complaints and service-related issues

  * Maintaining accurate customer records, contracts and interaction history

  * Liaising with Sales, Operations and Finance teams to ensure a seamless service

  * Coordinating order processing and ensuring customer requirements are communicated internally

  * Supporting external Sales or Account Managers where required

  * Following up on customer commitments to ensure they are fulfilled

  * Identifying opportunities for account growth, upselling and cross-selling

  * Gathering customer feedback and suggesting service improvements

  * Monitoring customer satisfaction and proactively addressing any concerns

About You

We are looking for someone who is customer-focused, organised and confident dealing with people. You will need to be comfortable managing multiple accounts and priorities while maintaining a high level of service.

The ideal candidate will have:

  * Previous experience in customer service, account management or sales

  * Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  * Strong problem-solving abilities

  * Excellent organisational and time-management skills

  * The ability to manage multiple accounts and competing priorities

  * A commercial and customer-focused mindset

  * A confident telephone manner

  * Strong attention to detail

  * The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Experience & Qualifications

Essential:

  * Previous experience in customer service, account management or sales

  * Experience dealing directly with customers and handling enquiries

Preferred:

  * Experience using SAP

  * Experience using CRM systems

  * Previous experience within a busy customer service or account management environment
