Customs Brokerage Associate - Hybrid (2 Days Working from Home)
Location: Solihull, Birmingham (Hybrid - 3 days office / 2 days from home)
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

We are seeking an experienced Customs Brokerage Associate to join a busy and growing logistics team based in the Birmingham area.
In this role, you will take ownership of import and export customs procedures from start to finish, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. You'll work closely with clients, carriers, and internal teams to deliver exceptional service and support ongoing business growth.
What's on Offer
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Hybrid working pattern: 2 days working from home each week
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (some flexibility around working hours)

Key Responsibilities
Process import and export customs entries and clearances accurately and efficiently
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UK and international customs regulations
Provide excellent customer service to both clients and internal stakeholders
Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and compliance
Manage and maintain accurate documentation and data within company systemsWhat We're Looking For
Minimum 5 years' experience in a customs clearance or brokerage role
Strong understanding of UK import/export laws and HMRC procedures
IT proficient - experience with CargoWise is advantageous
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
Minimum GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and EnglishYou'll Succeed If You Are
Analytical, technically minded, and comfortable working within established systems and procedures. You'll be confident managing varied tasks, making informed decisions, and working collaboratively as part of a high-performing team.
