Data Warehouse Manager

3‑Month+ Contract 

Bradford

An experienced Data Warehouse Manager is required for our public sector client based in Bradford.

This role requires a blend of leadership, technical data expertise, and deep NHS data knowledge. You'll oversee the Data Warehouse function while providing hands‑on support across data architecture, engineering, and database administration.

Key Responsibilities:

Line manage and mentor Data Engineers, BI Developers, and other data team members
Lead on data architecture, including data structures, schema design and data normalisation
Oversee Data Warehouse strategy, build, optimisation, and performance
Maintain and understand NHS datasets, flows, and reporting requirements
Provide hands‑on Data Engineering expertise (ETL/ELT, SQL, pipelines)
Carry out DBA duties, including performance tuning, indexing, and database maintenanceEssential Skills & Experience:

Proven experience managing Data Warehouse functions
Strong understanding of NHS data
Excellent data architecture, modelling and normalisation experience
Solid Data Engineering skills (SQL, SSIS/ADF, Python, Databricks, ETL/ELT)
Strong DBA capabilities (SQL Server / Azure SQL)
