We are searching, on behalf of an award winning nursery chain in Shrewsbury, for a Deputy Nursery Manager who is enthusiastic to support the day-to-day running of a busy and welcoming nursery. Working alongside the Nursery Manager, you will help lead the team, maintain high standards of care and education, and create a safe, stimulating environment where children can thrive.

Hours of work: Full time, Monday-Friday between 7.50am - 6.00pm
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Nursery Manager in the overall management of the nursery
* Lead and motivate staff to deliver outstanding childcare and early education
* Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and welfare requirements are consistently met
* Build strong relationships with children, parents, and carers
* Monitor children’s development and support high-quality learning experiences
* Assist with staff supervision, training, and recruitment
* Help maintain compliance with EYFS and Ofsted requirements
* Take responsibility for the nursery in the manager’s absence
Requirements:
* Minimum 1 year leadership experience in a senior nursery role
* Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification
* Level 3 Paediactric First Aid Qualification (desirable)
* English GCSE grade C/4+ (if qualified after Sept 2014)
* Sound knowledge of the EYFS framework
* A caring, enthusiastic, and child-centred approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to complete one)
