About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and innovative Design and Technology Teacher to join our Good school in Rugby on a permanent basis, starting immediately. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher to inspire creativity and technical excellence in students across Key Stages 3 to 5.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and practical lessons across a range of DT specialisms (such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, or Graphics), ensuring that all students develop strong design thinking, problem-solving, and making skills.
Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Design and Technology.

Inspire students to develop innovative design solutions and technical proficiency.
*
Assess, record, and report on student progress in line with school policy.
*
Maintain a safe and well-organised workshop environment.
*
Contribute to curriculum development and extracurricular enrichment activities.
*
Work collaboratively as part of a creative and supportive faculty.
About You
We are looking for a teacher who:
*
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
*
Has experience teaching Design and Technology across Key Stages 3–5.
*
Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and a passion for hands-on learning.
*
Is committed to fostering creativity, innovation, and independent thinking in students.
*
Is well-organised, reflective, and keen to contribute to departmental and whole-school initiatives.
