We are recruiting for an experienced Digital Print & Finishing Assistant to join a busy professional print services team in Bath on a 12 week temporary assignment, working 3 days per week.

You’ll work as part of a friendly and professional print services team, producing high quality digital print and finishing work for a varied customer base.
The role covers everything from everyday digital print through to more specialist work such as binding, posters, business cards, brochures and other professionally finished materials.
You will be responsible for ensuring work is produced accurately, efficiently and to a high standard, while providing excellent customer service throughout the process.
Key responsibilities
Set up and safely use a range of digital printing and finishing machinery.
Check, amend and prepare digital artwork and documents for production.
Complete print finishing tasks including binding and other post-production work.
Produce a range of printed materials to a consistently high standard.
Create and format items such as stationery, invitations, business cards and similar materials.
Check proofs and recommend appropriate print, paper and finishing options to customers.
Assist customers with artwork preparation, file types, colour requirements and print specifications.
Produce personalised items, including name badges and small mailing runs.
Monitor and maintain stock, equipment and consumables, carrying out basic routine checks where required.
Accurately record relevant production, usage and wastage information.
Handle customer transactions and payments when required.
Contribute to a tidy, well-organised and professional print environment.
Assist with the induction and day-to-day support of new or temporary team members.
About youWe’re looking for someone with:
At least one year’s experience in digital print production.
At least one year’s experience in a customer facing role.
Experience using Microsoft Office applications.
Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and Creative Suite products.
Experience with typesetting and preparing artwork for print.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Strong customer service skills and a friendly, helpful approach.
The ability to organise and prioritise work effectively.
The ability to work accurately under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
A flexible and positive attitude.
Good problem solving skills and the confidence to use your initiative.

Working pattern: 3 days per week
Duration: 12 weeks
Contract type: Temporary
There may be a requirement for occasional evening or weekend working depending on operational requirements and events.
