Job Description

Domestic Field Engineer (Electrical Bias – Ventilation & Maintenance)

Location: Maidstone, Kent
Salary: £35,000 + bonus
Earnings Potential: £60,000–£70,000+ OTE (monthly & performance bonuses)
Overtime: Double time weekends / Time and a half weekdays
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8am–9am start (flexible to complete required work)

Fox Morris Group is recruiting on behalf of our client. Our client is a leading provider of ventilation and air quality solutions within the social housing sector. This role involves installing, maintaining, and servicing ventilation systems in residential properties - helping to prevent damp and mould while ensuring compliance with current regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  * Install, service, and maintain domestic ventilation systems and extract fans in residential properties.

  * Undertake electrical connections, wiring, and basic to intermediate fault-finding.

  * Carry out minor remedial works such as mould treatment, repainting, and touch-ups as required.

  * Complete all work in line with current electrical and building regulations.

  * Record accurate job details, photos, and reports via tablet/mobile app.

  * Liaise professionally with tenants, housing officers, and on-site stakeholders.

  * Manage vehicle stock and equipment efficiently.

Essential:

  * Full UK driving licence (Van’s Provided)

  * 18th Edition qualified electrician

  * Level 3 Electrical Diploma (or equivalent)

  * Minimum 2 years’ experience in domestic electrical installations

Desirable:

  * AM2 qualification

  * NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation

  * Ventilation installation experience (PIV / MVHR systems)

  * Experience in social housing or property maintenance

  * 2391 Inspection & Testing certification

Additional Information

  * Engineers typically complete up to 3 jobs per day (installations, fan replacements, mould treatment).
