Role Overview

We are seeking a talented Draughtsman with experience in exhibitions, events, specialist fabrication, or bespoke construction to join our growing team in London. You will be responsible for producing detailed technical drawings, fabrication packs, and installation plans for creative, fast-paced build environments.

This role suits someone with excellent technical accuracy, strong spatial awareness, and the ability to translate conceptual ideas into practical, buildable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Drawing & Design

  * 

    Produce high-quality 2D and 3D technical drawings, fabrication details, and working drawings for bespoke exhibition stands, event structures, and specialist installations.

  * 

    Interpret design concepts, sketches, and architectural visuals, turning them into accurate production information.

  * 

    Create assembly drawings, cutting lists, and material schedules for workshop and on-site teams.

Coordination & Collaboration

  * 

    Work closely with project managers, designers, fabricators, and installers to ensure drawings meet all design, structural, and logistical requirements.

  * 

    Liaise with suppliers and contractors to confirm specifications, materials, and installation methods.

  * 

    Participate in design development, value engineering, and technical problem-solving.

Quality & Compliance

  * 

    Ensure all drawings comply with company standards, venue regulations, and industry best practice.

  * 

    Maintain accurate drawing revisions and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

  * 

    Support the preparation of RAMS, technical packs, and compliance documents as needed.

Technical Support

  * 

    Provide guidance to workshop and site teams during fabrication and build phases.

  * 

    Assist with creating visualisations, layouts, and concept-to-build transitions.

  * 

    Attend site visits and surveys to collect accurate measurements and assess installation conditions.

Required Skills & Experience

  * 

    Proven experience as a Draughtsman/Draftsperson within exhibitions, events, joinery, metalwork, bespoke fabrication, or related construction/build sectors.

  * 

    Proficiency in industry-standard software such as:

      * 

        AutoCAD (essential)

      * 

        SolidWorks, Inventor, Revit, or Vectorworks (beneficial)

      * 

        SketchUp or 3D modelling tools (advantageous)

  * 

    Strong understanding of materials including timber, metalwork, joinery, and modular event systems.

  * 

    Ability to produce clear, accurate, and highly detailed technical drawings suitable for manufacture and installation.

  * 

    Good understanding of site constraints, structural considerations, and temporary works principles (preferred).

  * 

    Strong communication skills and a collaborative working style.
