Job Description

Job Title: Drivers Mate

Industry: Food Services

Contract Type: Zero Hours Temporary Contract – potential for long-term work

Hourly Rate: £12.50 per hour (minimum)

Working Pattern: Monday to Sunday between (hours to be confirmed Approx 1-2am Starts *Depot Dependant)

Role Overview

We’re seeking personable, friendly, and reliable individuals to join one of our clients.

You’ll work closely with a driver, helping to unload deliveries, check products, and ensure all goods are put away safely and correctly. You’ll also be required to use a PDA system to record deliveries accurately. The role involves early starts, so applicants must be able to reach the depot at unsociable hours.

Key Duties

  * Work alongside the driver to complete multi-drop deliveries

  * Operate a PDA system for delivery recording and confirmation

  * Unload, check, and put away goods safely and efficiently

  * Follow client instructions and maintain high service standards

  * Represent the company in a professional manner at all times

Requirements

  * Physically fit and able to complete manual handling tasks

  * Full right to work in the UK

  * Access to reliable transport (due to early starts)

  * Fully flexible to work weekdays and weekends

  * Good communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
