Job Description

TeacherActive is proud to be working with several well-established private day nurseries across Rotherham, all of which provide high-quality care and early education. These settings create warm, nurturing environments where children aged 0–4 are encouraged to learn, explore and develop through engaging, age-appropriate activities tailored to their individual needs and interests.

We are currently seeking experienced Early Years Assistants to provide flexible, day-to-day cover across these nurseries, supporting with staff absence and annual leave. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who are adaptable, reliable and confident stepping into new settings while maintaining a high standard of care.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring children feel safe, supported and always engaged. You will work collaboratively with existing teams, bringing a positive attitude and a hands-on approach to every setting you attend.

The successful Early Years Assistant will have:

• A minimum of 6 months’ experience working within a nursery or early years setting
 • A strong work ethic and a professional, reliable approach
 • Experience supporting children aged 0–5 years
 • A passion for early years education and child development
 • The ability to adapt quickly to new environments and work effectively as part of a team
 • A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to get involved
