Job Description

I'm currently recruiting for an experienced Surveying Engineer to join an earthworks project near Daventry. There is a distinct possibility to move onto the groundworks element of the project, with a further 9 months extension.

The Role

Working as part of the site delivery team, you will be responsible for setting out, surveying, overseeing specific testing (CBR, Compaction, Plate Loading, Permeability and Shear Strength). I require a Surveying Engineer that is fully versed in these processes and has worked on numerous earthworks projects previously.

Key Responsibilities

  * Setting out for earthworks, drainage, and associated civil engineering works.

  * Ensuring respective tests are conducted thoroughly and accurately.

  * Conducting site surveys and maintaining accurate setting-out records.

  * Producing and managing as-built information.

  * Monitoring quality and ensuring compliance with project specifications.

  * Coordinating with subcontractors, site management, and client representatives.

  * Supporting health, safety, and environmental requirements on site.

  * Assisting with progress reporting and programme delivery.

  * Identifying and resolving engineering and technical issues on site.

Requirements

  * Proven experience as a Surveying Engineer on earthworks, groundworks or civil engineering projects.

  * Strong setting-out and surveying capability using GPS and robotic total station equipment.

  * Good understanding of earthworks operations, drainage, and groundworks.

  * Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

  * CSCS card essential.

  * SMSTS or SSSTS desirable.
