Electrical Commissioning Engineer

Site Based - MUST be flexible for UK travel as needed

£45-65k + Generous Paid Overtime, Car Allowance, 10% Site Enhancement

A growing engineering services provider within heavy industry is looking to appoint an Electrical Commissioning Engineer to support a strong pipeline of UK projects.

This is a site-focused role with an immediate requirement in the North Yorkshire area, alongside longer-term involvement across multiple UK projects as the service function expands. The position offers long-term stability, varied project exposure, and the chance to work on large-scale industrial systems.

Electrical Commissioning Engineer - The Role:

You will play a key role across installation, commissioning, and early-life support phases, ensuring systems are delivered, tested, and operating in line with client expectations.

Key responsibilities include:

Coordinating commissioning activities with clients and project teams
 Supporting installation and overseeing electrical works on site
 Carrying out pre-commissioning, testing, and fault finding
 Reviewing results and producing technical reports
 Assisting with modifications, snagging, and minor installation works

Setting up of control panels, PLC's AC/DC drives, instrumentation etc

Carry out minor installation completion works

Electrical Commissioning Engineer - The Person:

This role suits a hands-on electrical engineer who thrives in heavy industrial environments, with ideal backgrounds including Oil & Gas, Power Generation or Mining.

Experience of heavy industrial machinery & equipment commissioning
Knowledge of electrical, hydraulics and pneumatic systems
Proven experience working with Siemens S7-1200/1500 - ESSENTIAL
Full UK Valid driving license and a willingness to travel across the UK as needed
HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering (or similar)

Located in North Yorkshire, this role would be commutable from Middlesborough, Stockton-on-Tees, Hartlepool, Durham, Sunderland, Guisborough or York
