Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join a growing engineering business delivering bespoke lifting and automation projects across the UK.

You’ll take ownership of electrical design and control systems from concept through to installation, working closely with in-house design, production, and site teams.

The role

  * Produce electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and BOMs

  * Design control panels and safety circuits to BS EN ISO standards

  * Specify and order materials to meet project timelines

  * Support testing, commissioning, and fault finding on live systems

  * Work both independently and as part of a multi-discipline team

What we’re looking for

  * Strong background in electrical design/engineering (ideally 5+ years)

  * Proficient with CAD software for electrical schematics

  * Knowledge of PLC/HMI/SCADA (Siemens preferred)

  * Understanding of industrial networks (Profibus, Profinet, etc.)

  * Full UK driving licence and flexibility for occasional site work
