Job Description

Electrical Design Engineer - Hydrogen Test Facility and Test Rigs

12 Month Contract

Based in Filton (60% On Site)

Belcan are currently supporting one of the leaders in the Aviation industry with their search for an Electrical Design Engineer specialising in Hydrogen Test Facility and Test Rigs. This role is a 12 month contract, and will be based in Filton. You will join the Test Centre (1VM) and will contribute to the development of architectures and specifications for data acquisition and control systems for a new test facility and several new test rigs focused on Hydrogen testing.

You can find some of the responsibilities below;

Tasks & accountabilities

Develop Architecture and design solutions for data acquisition and control systems.
Develop Electrical Component electrical schematics
Specify Instrumentation for a range of different measurements (Pressure, Flow, Voltage, Current, etc…)
Produce requirement and specification documentation for data acquisition and control systems.

Required skills

Electrical Design Tools (AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, KiCad)
Understanding of Electrical design principles and Electrical systems
Understanding of Testing principles
Experience with electrical architecture design
Experience with instrumentation, data acquisition and control systems.
Knowledge of avionic data busses (A429, CAN, AFDX)
