Working Hours

  * 

    Term Time: Monday – Thursday, 16:00 – 04:00

  * 

    School Holidays: Monday – Friday, 07:30 – 16:30

  * 

    Overtime: May be available

Job Overview

Our client is looking for experienced Electrical Improvers to support a major electrical upgrade project within an educational environment. The work will include installation of new lighting and power services, containment systems, and removal of existing electrical services, working alongside qualified electricians.

Key Responsibilities

  * 

    Assisting with installation of new Lighting & Power (L&P) services, including secondary PVC containment

  * 

    Assisting with installation of external lighting, including time clocks and photocells

  * 

    Assisting with strip-out of existing electrical services where required

  * 

    Supporting with labelling and testing of new and retained circuits

  * 

    Ensuring protection of work areas before starting work

  * 

    Maintaining a clean and safe workspace, including end-of-shift cleaning and removal of waste to a designated skip or location

Key Requirements

  * 

    Enhanced DBS Check (no spent convictions)

  * 

    CSCS/ECS Card

  * 

    Electrical Qualifications: Level 2 or Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)

  * 

    C&G 2391 Testing & Inspection – desirable but not essential

  * 

    Previous experience assisting with lighting, power installations, and containment systems preferred

Additional Information

  * Work will take place in a live educational setting, so professionalism, cleanliness, and strict adherence to safety procedures are essential.

  * Candidates must be reliable, safety-conscious, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
