TeacherActive is supporting a well-established FE college in Northampton with the recruitment of an Engineering Lecturer. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled industry professional or qualified lecturer to contribute to the delivery of high-quality vocational education.

You will be responsible for delivering engineering programmes across Level 2 and Level 3, ensuring that both practical workshop sessions and classroom-based theory are delivered to a high standard. You will also contribute to assessment, tracking learner progress, and supporting students in achieving their qualifications and progression goals.

The successful candidate will play a key role in equipping learners with the knowledge and skills required to succeed in further study or employment within the engineering industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver BTEC and/or City & Guilds engineering programmes
Plan and prepare engaging lesson materials and practical activities
Assess student work and provide constructive feedback
Monitor and track learner progress against targets
Support learners both academically and pastorally
Maintain high standards within workshops and teaching environments
Requirements:

A Level 3 qualification or above in Engineering
A teaching qualification is desirable or willingness to work towards one
Relevant industry experience within mechanical or electrical engineering
Ability to deliver both practical and theoretical content effectively
Strong organisational and communication skills
