 Contract: Full-time, Maternity Cover until December 2026
 Pay: £160 – £250 per day (dependent on experience)

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate English Teacher to deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 for a maternity cover starting in May 2026 and running until December 2026.

You will join a school that prides itself on offering well‑structured curriculum pathways, strong pastoral support, and a warm, collaborative staff culture. The English department is part of a broad, well-resourced curriculum designed to inspire creativity, effective communication, and academic ambition.

This is a full-time teaching commitment for the duration of the maternity period.

Ideal Candidate

We would love to hear from you if you:

Hold QTS or equivalent
Have recent experience teaching English in UK secondary schools
Can confidently deliver the KS3–KS4 curriculum
Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisational skills
Are enthusiastic about fostering students’ love of literature, language, and creative expression
Work well as part of a supportive and values-driven team
