Environmental Health Officer 18.5 hours per week £46,142 to £49,282 pa – pro rata for hours worked Permanent Stevenage About The Role We are looking for a part-time Environmental Health Officer to join our dedicated team within the Council’s Environmental Health and Licensing service. As a qualified Environmental Health Officer, you will play a key role within the Council’s Environmental Health Residential team, supporting the team in preparing for and implementing the provisions of the Renters’ Rights Act 2025 which are coming into effect over the next year. The service delivers the full range of environmental health and licensing functions across the Borough. The work of this post will therefore be varied and may include the enforcement of private sector housing standards including the inspection of HMOs, taking action to bring empty homes back into use, investigating complaints of noise and other statutory nuisances and the use of statutory powers relating to public health protection and pest control. This role will involve hybrid working, with part of your time being office-based in addition to working from home. About You You will be a qualified Environmental Health Practitioner, registered with the EHRB or CIEH.
