Epilepsy Support Worker - Cardiff (Nights and Weekend Days)
IOS Care are seeking reliable and experienced support workers to provide night and weekend day care and support to a young man with epilepsy in Cardiff.
Duties will include:-
* Support with day and night routine
* Observe and record night seizures
* Offer reassurance when needed
* Document all activities completed and handover to colleagues
* Work with a co-worker in a professional manner
* Weekend day staff are to support with attending social events such as going to the cinema, bowling, eating out and shopping
The young man is verbal and mobile with a great sense of humour, he lives at home with his family and requires support from two staff members during the day and night.
He enjoys staying at home and playing games as well as going out in the community and enjoying various activities.
The hours of work are 8am - 4pm, 4pm - 9pm and 9pm - 8am (Monday to Sunday).
The successful support workers will have care/support experience and knowledge of epilepsy, however full training will be provided.
