Job Description

We are currently working with a well established specialist contractor within the façade and external envelope sector who are looking to appoint an experienced Estimator to join their commercial team based in Dartford.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Estimator with proven experience in External Wall Insulation (EWI) projects to join a growing business delivering façade remediation, refurbishment and insulation schemes across London and the South East.
PLEASE NOTE: Previous EWI / external wall insulation estimating experience is essential for this role.
The Role
As Estimator, you will play a key role in preparing accurate and competitive tenders for EWI and façade refurbishment projects. You will work closely with commercial and operational teams to ensure submissions are technically compliant, commercially robust and aligned with project requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
  * 
    Reviewing tender documentation, drawings and specifications
  * 
    Preparing detailed cost estimates for EWI and façade packages
  * 
    Taking off quantities and building pricing schedules
  * 
    Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations
  * 
    Identifying risks, value engineering opportunities and programme considerations
  * 
    Supporting tender submissions and post-tender negotiations
  * 
    Working alongside commercial and delivery teams during handover
Requirements
  * 
    Proven experience working as an Estimator within EWI / external wall insulation projects (ESSENTIAL)
  * 
    Background within façade, cladding, rendering, remediation or building envelope sectors
  * 
    Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications and pricing methodologies
  * 
    Commercially aware with strong attention to detail
  * 
    Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously
  * 
    Strong communication and organisational skills
