Electrical Estimator
Location: Gravesend – either office-based, 5 days per week or hybrid working with minimum 3 days in the office.

Our Client is a long-established electrical contractor, looking for an Electrical Estimator to join their friendly and supportive team. Following several new client wins and continued growth, this is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to step into a key role within a stable and respected business.

This role can be office-based five days a week in Gravesend or hybrid with a minimum 3 day per week in the office, as the business places strong value on collaboration, communication, and maintaining a close-knit working environment.

Key Responsibilities

  * Preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates based on drawings, specifications, and project documentation using estimating software

  * Electrical design and electrical estimating as the electrical estimator

  * Liaising with suppliers, subcontractors, and the Purchasing Manager to gather and verify information for estimates

  * Reviewing and evaluating subcontractor bids and proposals for competitiveness and compliance

  * Monitoring project costs and providing updates and recommendations for cost control

  * Building and maintaining strong client relationships and following up on tenders to help strengthen existing partnerships

The Ideal Candidate

  * Qualified Gold Card electrician (preferred) or similar electrician qualifications

  * Minimum 3+ years’ experience electrical estimating within the electrical sector

  * Experience using an electrical estimating system

  * Confident communicator, comfortable working with clients, suppliers, and colleagues

  * Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and organisational skills

  * Positive can-do attitude and a desire to grow and progress within a long-standing business
