Experienced ALN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Additional Learning Needs (ALN) Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and inclusive primary school community in Cardiff.
The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers, the ALNCo, and external professionals to support pupils with a range of additional learning needs, helping them to access the curriculum and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide targeted support for pupils with ALN, including 1:1 and small group interventions
Support pupils with a range of needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, speech and language, SEMH)
Assist with the planning and delivery of differentiated learning activities
Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and inclusion
Monitor progress and contribute to ALN documentation and reviews
Work collaboratively with staff, parents/carers, and external agencies
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Proven experience working as an ALN/Additional Needs Teaching Assistant in a primary school
A strong understanding of the ALN Code for Wales
Experience supporting pupils with complex or diverse needs
A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
