Welding Assessor
Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a full time Fabrication and Welding Assessor to work at a College in Hull, starting ASAP and lasting until at least February 20th 2026. Ideally this will be a temporary to permanent position, with the successful candidate working on a supply basis for 12 weeks, before transferring onto a permanent contract. There are both full time (35 hours per week) and part time positions available (2 days per week) for this role. Payment for this position will be between £25 and £50 per hour depending on experience and qualifications. Once this transfers onto a permanent contract, the permanent salary offered would be up to £37,000 per annum
This role will involve acting as an assessor for students completing their Fabrication and Weldinging apprenticeships, and will manage a caseload to ensure that students meet the requirements of the course. Some of your responsibilities may include checking in with local business. For this reason, it's essential to have a car/mode of transportation to ensure that you can make it to the different settings.
Located in Hull, this school is easily accessible from almost all parts of Hull via Bus, and has an onsite car park for candidates who drive. There is also a large car park nearby that is low cost and can be reimbursed in wages. This college is the vocational hub for the city and has a great reputation in the local area. The College are looking for a highly experienced industry professional that can guide the next generation of plumbers in Hull and the surrounding area.

Has a level 3 qualification in Welding and Fabrication
Has experience Assessing Welding and Fabrication
Has an Assessors Award
Has a Level 3 or above teaching qualification or the willingness to learn
Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
