Job Description

Job Title: Welder/Fabricator

Location: West Hull

Hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Monday to Friday)

Industry: Manufacturing for the Construction Sector

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join our team in West Hull. This is a hands-on role within a busy manufacturing environment, producing high-quality components for the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have strong fabrication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

Welding and Fabrication:
MIG/TIG welding on mild steel and other metals.
Reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
Cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components to specification.
Quality Control:
Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality standards.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Machine Operation:
Use of hand tools, power tools, and fabrication machinery (e.g., saws, grinders, drills).
General Duties:
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Assist with loading/unloading materials as required.

Requirements

Proven experience in welding and fabrication within a manufacturing or construction setting.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Good physical fitness and manual dexterity.Advantageous:

Valid Forklift Truck (FLT) licence.
