A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Fabricator/Welder to join an established leading manufacturer and supplier of electrical equipment.
Job Description:
You will operate welding machines to fuse metal segments together using MIG or other processes
Measuring, cutting, clamping, grinding, drilling, or tacking metal pieces before welding
You will be required to fabricate parts following mechanical drawings.
You will prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools and materials.
You will be expected to maintain the highest level of workmanship standards and product quality ensuring products are produced and delivered OTIF to the customers' requirements.
You will check and complete all paperwork associated with the works order.
Performance of area housekeeping activities, including the prompt reporting of problems shortages or equipment breakdowns.
You may be required to visit customer sites throughout the UK.
Using general workshop machinery and hand tools related the role.
Quality inspection of colleague's output.Beneficial Skills / Qualifications:
Fabrication/welding- MIG, MMA/Stick Welding, Stud Welding and Plasma Cutting-
Preferable have experience using the Armada Press Brake
Hands-on experience of working within a mechanical/electrical engineering environment
The ability to understand mechanical drawings
Overhead crane/lifting slinging experience
FLT Counterbalance
Have good written and verbal communication skills
Experience of working collaboratively with other operations personnel
Experience of working within a continuous improvement environment
Strong attention to detail
