About Us
G K & N Services Ltd is a family run engineering business based in Holmfirth. We design, manufacture, and build bespoke road and rail vehicle tankers and equipment for major operators across the UK, and we are market leaders in our field.
About the Role
We’re seeking a skilled or semi-skilled Fabricator/Welder with experience in mild and stainless-steel fabrication. You will work on the manufacture of bespoke, low‑volume engineered components used across our specialist tanker builds and associated equipment.
Key Responsibilities
  * Fabricate and weld bespoke components to a high standard
  * Manufacture and assemble low‑volume, custom‑designed products
  * Read and interpret technical drawings with accuracy
  * Weld and fabricate both mild & stainless-steel components
  * Work independently and collaboratively within the workshop team
  * Maintain a high level of craftsmanship and quality across all work
What We're Looking For
  * Competence in fabrication and welding (MIG/TIG experience beneficial)
  * Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high‑quality work
  * Ability to work from engineering drawings
  * Reliable, self‑motivated, and professional
  * Enjoys working on bespoke, non‑catalogue engineering projects
Desirable Experience
  * Vessel and pipe welding experience
  * Sheet metal experience (4+ years preferred)
