UK-Based (Hybrid) | Travel Required | Full-Time
Are you a practical, solutions-focused person who loves keeping buildings running smoothly and safely?
This is your chance to step into a role where you’ll take ownership of maintaining a diverse estate, from retail storees to offices and domestic properties. You will play a vital part in ensuring everything stays safe, compliant, and cost-effective.
If you enjoy coordinating repairs, working with contractors, and making sure things get done properly and on time, this role will suit you perfectly.
🌍 The Opportunity
As Facilities Maintenance Lead, you’ll be the go-to person for the day-to-day management of repairs, maintenance and small projects across multiple sites. You’ll work closely with the Estates Manager, support offshore team, and keep communication flowing between contractors, field colleagues, and internal teams.
Your work will help ensure buildings are safe, equipment is maintained, issues are resolved quickly, and budgets are used wisely.
💡 What You’ll Be Doing
* Visiting properties to assess condition, identify issues, and coordinate necessary repairs
* Ensuring statutory maintenance and safety checks (e.g., lifts, alarms, fire equipment) are in place and up to date
* Managing day-to-day repair requests and planned maintenance through the helpdesk
* Supporting small projects such as refurbishments, layout changes and minor building works
* Overseeing contractor performance and holding suppliers to agreed standards
* Reviewing quotes, approving invoices and helping control costs across the estate
* Working closely with colleagues across the UK to ensure minimal disruption during works
* Supporting communication and coordination between UK operations and offshore admin teams
You’ll be a trusted pair of hands, keeping everything running safely, smoothly and efficiently.
🌟 About You
* Has experience with property maintenance, facilities, or small building works
* Is comfortable engaging with engineers, contractors and suppliers
* Is organised, analytical and able to juggle multiple tasks and sites
* Communicates clearly and confidently - whether on-site or remotely
* Is practical, hands-on, and happy to travel when needed
* Can review costs, challenge quotes and make value-led decisions
Experience in multi-site retail, logistics or warehouse environments is a bonus, but not essential.
🎯 Why This Role?
You’ll be joining a business where facilities really matter - and where you can genuinely influence how properties are maintained, how contractors operate and how the estate develops over time.
You’ll enjoy variety, autonomy, and the chance to work closely with an experienced management team who’ll support your growth.
If you’re ready for more responsibility and want to step into a role where you can make visible impact across a wide property portfolio, this is a great opportunity.
