Service Manager
We are seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead and oversee the operation of the Service Department. The department delivers on-site services worldwide, as well as workshop-based activities at their Norwich facility.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and lead the service engineering team, including:
* Work allocation and scheduling
* Certification, security clearance, training, and visa requirements
* Generate and manage service enquiries, quotations, contracts, and invoicing
* Arrange and attend site meetings to support enquiries, active contracts, and business development
* Establish and maintain effective reporting and documentation systems
* Oversee all site tooling and instrumentation, including calibration requirements
* Establish and manage a dedicated service equipment area at the Norwich facility
* Coordinate with other departments to support new equipment projects and service activities
* Grow the service team, with support from the Directors, including recruitment of experienced electromechanical and commissioning engineers
Working Environment
* This position is based in an office environment with occasional travel to client sites as required.
* The role may involve working under pressure to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience in a service management, service engineer role or similar position.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Relevant qualifications in engineering are preferred
