Job Description

Our client based in Cambridge is seeking a hands-on Finance Manager to take ownership of all day-to-day finance operations and provide essential support to the Finance Director.
 
 Key Responsibilities:
 • Maintain strong financial controls across expenses, purchase orders and ledgers
 • Support budgeting, forecasting and commercial income tracking
 • Assist with financial modelling 
 • Prepare accounts to trial balance, including month-end journals and reconciliations
 • Oversee payroll
 • Manage banking, weekly payment runs, VAT returns 
 • Support audits, statutory reporting, and work with external accountants
 • Assist with project accounting, timesheet systems and ad-hoc financial reporting
 
 Candidate Profile:
 We’re looking for a finance professional with experience in an SME, start-up or scale-up. 
 
 ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or part-qualified or AAT qualified, with strong technical accounting skills and a proactive, communicative, detail-oriented approach. Xero and Excel expertise required.
