About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to join a well-established ham processing facility in Haverhill. This is a key role within the operation, leading production activities and ensuring performance targets are achieved across the shop floor.
Managing a team of up to 70 production staff, you will oversee day-to-day operations, coordinate shift activities, and drive a culture of efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, motivate, and develop a team of up to 70 colleagues within the production area.
Ensure production targets, KPIs, and efficiency goals are achieved in line with operational requirements.
Oversee daily production schedules, resource planning, and staff allocation.
Monitor product quality and compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
Work closely with Technical, Engineering, and Planning teams to maintain smooth production flow.
Identify opportunities for Continuous Improvement (CI) and support initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Maintain accurate records, reports, and performance data.
Foster a safe working environment and promote best practices in health and safety.
About You
Experience working in a supervisory, operational, or managerial role within food manufacturing or processing.
Strong understanding of food safety, HACCP, and manufacturing standards.
Proven ability to manage large teams and deliver results against KPIs.
A proactive, hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in Continuous Improvement (CI) or Lean Manufacturing techniques is desirable.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
