Food Production Manager – Basildon
£40,000 – £45,000 (DOE) | Monday–Friday | 10:00am–6:30pm | Permanent Role

Staffright are recruiting on behalf of a valued client within the food production sector, based in Basildon. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Food Production Manager to join a growing, purpose-driven business focused on delivering fresh, nutritious meals.

The Role

This is a full-time, site-based position where you will oversee daily food production operations and manage a team of approximately 15 staff.

Key responsibilities include:
Supervising and leading production teams to ensure efficiency and performance
Planning and organising production schedules
Maintaining high standards of food quality and safety
Ensuring compliance with hygiene and food safety regulations
Driving continuous improvement and achieving KPIs
Collaborating with internal teams to deliver consistent, high-quality output

Requirements
3–5 years’ supervisory/management experience within food or FMCG manufacturing
Strong knowledge of food safety systems, HACCP, and SALSA/BRCGS (or equivalent)
Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
Experience in production planning and operations management
Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
Strong commitment to health, safety, and quality standards
Relevant food safety/hygiene certifications (preferred)
Demonstrated success in continuous improvement and KPI delivery
