The School and Role
 Are you an organised and proactive Food Technician looking to support practical learning in a vibrant school environment?

Vision for Education is recruiting on behalf of an inclusive and supportive secondary school in Huyton, seeking a dedicated Food Technician to join their team from December 2025 (or sooner if available).

This is a fantastic opportunity to support Food Technology lessons, ensuring students have a safe, well-prepared environment to develop their culinary skills.

Role Responsibilities

Prepare the Food Technology classroom and equipment for lessons

Support teachers with practical setup and clear-up of sessions

Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are maintained

Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment and resources

Assist in cleaning and resetting the classroom after lessons

Contribute to creating a safe and stimulating learning environment

Requirements

To be considered for this Food Technician position, candidates should have:

Experience in hospitality, catering, or food preparation (desired)

Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (desirable)

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

An Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
