The Forensic Technology Specialist will provide expert technical support across regulatory enforcement investigations, ensuring high-quality handling of digital evidence and efficient use of e‑discovery tools. The role strengthens consistency in evidence production, reduces technical burdens on case teams, and enhances the capability to manage complex, high‑volume data.
This is initially a 6-month Fixed Term Contract. There is no sponsorship available for this role.
Core Responsibilities
Serve as the primary technical point of contact for investigation subjects and e‑discovery providers.
Standardise approaches to digital evidence production, metadata requirements, and audit file handling.
Manage e‑discovery project setup, data processing, metadata validation, and troubleshooting.
Identify and resolve data or metadata issues, ensuring accurate indexing and linkage of audit workpapers.
Provide guidance to case teams on optimal evidence formats and highlight potential technical issues early.
Support digital evidence gathering at case opening and assist with reconciling evidence productions.
Develop templates, navigation aids, and automation tools to streamline repetitive technical tasks.
Capture and share best practices, contribute to technology working groups, and promote good data practices.Essential Skills & Experience
Strong understanding of digital evidence handling, metadata, and e‑discovery platforms.
Proven ability to diagnose and troubleshoot data and processing issues.
Experience working with technical teams in large organisations, ideally accounting or audit firms.
Ability to translate technical concepts clearly for non-technical stakeholders.
Excellent organisation, accuracy, and ability to work independently.Desired Skills
Knowledge of forensic accounting or experience supporting investigations.
Experience producing navigation documents for large data sets or reconciling evidence productions.
Familiarity with CAL/AI review tools, digital device imaging, or audit file software.
Aptitude for process improvement, automation, and developing standardised templates.
Relevant qualifications (e.g., CISA).
